HISTORY

Founded in 1976 by Wayne Smith when he was  given the opportunity to buy a small trucking company, We ship to all lower 48 States and focus on getting our drivers quality home time while maintaining high profile, long term customers.

Smith drove his first truck at 14 years old on an orchard in Bakersfield, California.  Smith's family moved west from Arkansas during the Dust Bowl, and he hauled produce through the produce camps in 1960.  Sixteen years later, he began his own trucking company in Arkansas.  The venture began in 1976 with two trucks, and today the company now has over 130 trucks and over 700 trailers and growing.  The company celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016 after moving headquarters to Morrilton's growing industrial park. 

From humble beginnings, WST has grown into a large transportation company based in Morrilton, Arkansas. For over 40 years, WST has been dedicated to their drivers and customers. And we are constantly seeking out experienced drivers to join our team.
